Kendall County Democratic Women's News Letter

Election of New Officers by Verconica Altraz
The Kendall County Democratic Women met to recently elect a new board of Directors that will serve the 2008-2010 term.  Newly elected officers are Kristine Heiman for President,  Patti Crawford for Vice President, Ellen Weinstein as Treasurer, Kim Beach as Secretary and Barb Johnson as SGT at Arms. The new board passed a resolution that no candidate seeking office would be nominated. “ We have an obligation to keep an open mind and to support the Democratic efforts of our Central Committee. Working as a support network is our top priority  to build a strong foundation that will serve as the backdrop for Democratic Success in 2008.” said Kristine Heiman.  With the success of Democrats on February 5th, it is time to start working for victory in November. The Democratic Women next quarterly meeting will be March 23rd at the Montgomery Police Department at 7pm.  For more information, please contact the Kendall County Democratic Women at 630-897-6184.

Kendall County Democratic Women Host Night of Unity by Jodi Robinson
The Kendall County Democratic Women Recently Held a Night of Unity where over 50 people came out from the county to watch the returns.   In attendance were candidates, community leaders, business owners, and labor members. With almost a 75 percent voter turn out, Democrats for the first time in the history of the county saw almost as many republican ballots taken as Democratic. “This is huge for the Democratic community.  By seeing the hard work of the party and seeing the success on a local, state, and national level Democrats have a great opportunity to see victory in November.” Elizabeth Flowers said.   If our primary is any indication of things to come in November, the outlook for Democrats is wonderful.. If you would like to help the Democrats succeed in November please contact your local Precinct Committeeman For more details or visit the Kendall County Democrats at www.kendall-democrats.org

Why Vote On March 8th by Kim Beach
On February 5th I was able to become an elected precinct committeeman for the people of Oswego 31 here in Kendall County. Through the people's support, my election was based on a grass roots effort of knocking on a lot of doors and speaking to my neighbors about the importance of change here in our county. I have always believed that a two party system has been beneficial to us all in helping to improve our county. By voting on March 8th, we have the opportunity to truly exercise our right to a democracy. With the success on February 5th Democrats have a real opportunity to move our county forward. I would like to take this chance to ask the people of Kendall County to once again join me in voting on March 8th.  Please check out our nominee on the web at www.foster08.com.  If you are interested in helping Bill go to Washington please check out our local Democratic Organization at  www.kendall-democrats.org
