The Democratic Party represents solid public policy... jobs, fiscal discipline, education, national security, affordable health care, environmental protection, sensible foreign policy, international cooperation and the involvement of the public towards the goal of this country achieving its full potential.

The Boone County Democratic Committee works towards these goals by assisting democratic candidates, coordinating events, helping voters, providing information about current issues and much more.

Perhaps at no time in our recent history has the opportunity for change been so within our grasp. The 2006 election brings a roster of exceptional democratic candidates for local and national offices. These candidates are dedicated to the democratic values that provide the much needed strength for our community, state and nation. Each one of these candidates is committed to public service and brings with them a wealth of insight, knowledge, and experience.

A dedicated group of citizens chair this organization. They are committed to upholding democratic values and making them a way of life in our community, state and nation. Our volunteers are the backbone and strength of this organization. Their tireless participation and effort exhibit the true nature of patriotism.

This website is dedicated to the memory of Glen S. Guthrie Sr. 1930-2002. Mr. Guthrie was the Chairman of the Boone County Democratic Committee for 37 years, and a lifelong Poplar Grove resident.
