The Young Democrats of Macon County was officially chartered on March 1, 2003. We are a chapter recognized by the Young Democrats of Illinois, the official youth arm of the Democratic Party of Illinois.

The function of this organization is to work with and elect Democratic candidates in Macon County. These duties include assisting with local, statewide, and Presidential campaigns within the borders of Macon County. A formal constitution will be drawn up at the organizational meeting to lay out further responsibilities.

In order to join the Macon County Young Democrats you must:

be a registered voter in Macon County.
be between the ages of 18 and 35
be a DEMOCRAT!!

One of the goals of this organization will be to work hand-in-hand with the other organizations in the county such as the Macon County Democratic Central Committee and the Macon County Democratic Women's Evening Chapter. Another goal or responsibility of this organization is to help candidates when asked.

This is an organization that will be a force in Macon County for years to come. With the help of this youth organization, Democrats throughout Macon County and the State of Illinois will benefit. The Young Democrats of Macon County will be a stepping stone for the Democratic leaders of tomorrow.
